@amyspringstead2208 when there are falsified story’s in the so called “word of god” then the idea of god itself is in not credible, so it doesn’t matter what you call yourself, if you believe in god or follow Jesus you are the same.

@wk8000 they were just as Christian as anyone else, admit it. You don’t get to say that someone in a certain group doesn’t truly belong to that group because they did something bad. That’s like saying Hitler wasn’t TRULY a Roman Catholic because he killed millions, he was still a Roman Catholic just as much as anyone else.

@brendaann727 There is ZERO evidence to prove ANY god is real. Even the Bible has been proven wrong on multiple things. Those crusaders did what they did in the name of Christianity, they were just as Christian as anyone else.

@trentp8035 YOU are using a straw man. You cannot disprove something that doesn’t exist. You can’t prove Santa or the tooth fairy doesn’t exist either. Does that mean they are real? “God exists because he created the universe” No, that’s just what the bible says. Show me the evidence that god created the universe or anything in it. You can’t, it’s only mentioned in the Bible. You are right, no evidence can refute or support him, because he does not exist. But you know what it can refute? The so call “word of god” AKA the Bible, which evidence had proven wrong on a number of things. When the so called word of god is proven wrong on one thing, that puts the rest of it in question and proves it’s not the word of god or the holy truth.

@trentp8035 Stay on topic, Trent. Which societies did Christians create? The ones that crusaded? Killed hundreds of thousands? Most societies were Christian. And the founder of the scientific method, Galileo Galilei, was catholic. “Christians created the most advanced societies” Nope, only 40% of Americans are Christian, and we are the most advanced country. Furthermore, 85% of scientists are not Christian. Is it REALLY foolish to compare? You agree Santa and the tooth fairy do not exist, correct? Can you show me evidence they do not exist? No, but that does not mean they are real. So, the fact that nobody can disprove god does not mean he’s real, because you can’t disprove something that does not exist. If it’s so apparent that god exists, why can’t you show me the evidence? What makes it so hard for Christians to do such a simple task of providing evidence? Hell, all it would take to disprove evolution, which Christians hate so much, would be to find ONE out of place fossil, but apparently that’s much too hard for Christians.

@trentp8035 so you are criticizing science for not answering every question? You know these things have to be discovered right? And it does have a pretty good answer, evolution. You clearly are a scientifically ignorant one. You say the evidence is abundant but again no where to be found at the same time. Tell me how does religion answer the question you criticize science for because it hasn’t answered it? Where was the Bible’s answer tested, observed, or where did it provide evidence to its claim? Yeah, sure you aren’t scientifically ignorant.

@gravityworks777 why is it not gods desire? Afterall he actually condones torturing people for doing things such as collecting sticks on the sabbath. On top of that, he banish’s anyone who doesn’t believe in him to eternal suffering, despite free will being a thing he gave us. Don’t make me cite verses of god condoning torture.
