But they make no effort to sell their opinions as FACTS, which steven does, and they're not consumed as much as by teenagers who have no ideo how research, statistics and politics work. I'd like to see someone with an actual reputation debunk steven colbert or jimmy kimmel (who I actually don't like). However, anyone who isn't too lazy to click around a bit can debunk steven crowder

MILLIONS of teenager watching someone who outright LIES, sells himself as intellectual but is actually a politically motivated ideologue? I'm worried about ignorance, about false information, i don't care about who claims to be "moral". And fun fact: not only can he control his audience, his show is DESIGNED to target young teenagers (as most political shows are, no matter which side.)

Personally, I support the green party in austria (so I'm left), but of course I don't have anything against conservatives as people (my crush is one), just their opinions. Steven crowder however strikes me as a bad person on so many levels, I just have a really visceral reaction to him

When I say alt-right, i probably understand a more european version of its meaning than you. The austrian far-right party could be considered just plain conservative in america. so what you might just consider far-right (which come on, is sargon under any interpretation), i consider alt-right.

I think a great thing you can do is cold reads, like I'll ask somebody "What are you studying?" and before they can answer go "Wait, let me guess... you have a STEM face". That's a great way to provide your convo partner with the option of continuing in a playful or serious way, like "What do you mean, STEM face? Is that a good face" or "Haha no, I actually do psychology" I guess you have to be comfortable with that kind of playfulness, but you can always slip in compliments like "oh STEM is the best face" if you feel you aren't witty enough

Also doesn't sound like irrelevant to me when you're debating party leaders. Sam DOES want to get them, and there's nothing wrong with that. But Sam also has an understanding of economics and policy (in comparison to crowder), and argues out of facts instead of bitching how the other side is treating him unfair and censoring him and then employing some manipulated charts or cherrypicking data from a study that reaches the opposite concusion he does.

There's this whole list of right wing videos "destroying leftists", which teens find entertaining and which the recommendation algorithm adores, so there's an entire community of mainly american white incels watching the likes of ben shapiro, steven crowder and dave rubin and having a wank over it. I'm actually realy scared and worried to see this comment section inundated with them, especially since charlie makes sure to distance himself politically. This is like a cultural virus

The international public is widely supportive of Ukraine because they acknowledge that Russia is a batshit crazy imperialist power, and Trump knows that. That's why he had to pull this deranged stunt. To him, it was either Zelenskyy takes the deal - or - it needs to look like he destroyed the negotiations. Because how would it look if Trump denied righteous aid to Ukraine over the obvious observation that Putin has never respected peace treaties in any form? Remember his response to that resporter? Reporter: "But Mr. President, what if Putin breaks the treaty?" Trump: "But what if anything?! What if a bomb falls on you right now?!" Absolute clown show

  47. Hey Charlie, I love your videos, your brand and you! Yet I have something of a problem with crowder presented so neutrally. Guilt by association is a concept I haven't really manifested a strong opinion on... But in my opinion you should disclaim that this is a man who propagandizes and misleads millions of young influenciable teens. I've already talked to many young people in this comment section of the "anti-SJW" sort, people who have gone the right-wing youtube-recommend rabbit hole. I'd hate to see this channel participate in any way to this phenomenon. I'm not criticizing your decision necessarily, I think this is still an interesting debate, but I do think you should consider this. It has REAL implications

It's about portraying himself as an intellectual or factually oriented, when in fact he cherrypicks data, misinterprets studies and employs manipulated charts. I currently have a course at university focused specifically on scientific research, so I have SOME authority on the subject. But this is not just my opinion, this is mainstream. Anyone who has a decent education and who has taken the trouble to fact check him is horrified by this guy.

Do you know how to check the validity of a study, from analysing individual data points to data extraction & evaluation methods to review processess to journal acceptances? Most don't, and these people are mislead by the right-wing ideologue pundit funded by conservative biollionaires that crowder is. He cherrypicks data from studies, often coming to the opposite conclusion they do, misrepresents history through contemporary jargon, etc etc. Watch some three arrows to see him debunked. This is the reprehensible tactic of the far right: claim you're being demonized over a difference of opinion, claim to be oriented around "facts", claim to be shouted down by those who disagree. And especially young teens fall for it. It's disgusting.
