@sagapoetic8990 In Australia it is mandatory to vote otherwise a fine is issued by the Electoral Commission. We can do early postal votes, or we have the options of early voting at a few select early voting stations prior to election day (2 weeks before, for those working or absent on the day), We need to line up at polling stations on the day if we do not take the other two options. Even though the lines are long, I opt to spend time with my multi-cultural community exchanging information on the day. My community is a beautiful blend of Arabs, Africans, Asians and Europeans, multi-cultural just like my family. I often volunteer to distribute campaign material for my chosen parties to my community, in shopping centres, police stations and early voting centres. Every bit of campaigning you can do is helpful in maintaining peaceful local communities and educating people that are too busy to research. I find most people are delighted to find out there are alternatives to the same warmongering inefficient, narcissistic Politicians.
