Dmitriy Bernasovskiy How great it is that you are re writing history, before 1954 when the Crimea was given as a gift by Khrushchev( who was park Ukrainian) no conflict of interest obviously (sarcasm) During Soviet Times, it was part of the Russian State of USSR!!!!!!. Let us also NOT ignore that the Crimea was won by Russia from the Ottoman Empire when Ukraine hardly existed. Lets us Also Check into the FACTS the the TATARs were not the first group of people who lived in the Crimea There were Greeks, Romans, etc. So they are NOT original inhabitants like native americans in US. LETS US ALSO EXAMINE THE CASE OF KOSOVO MAJORITY ALBANIAN, YET USED TO BE MAJORITY SERB, YET THE WEST AND NATO ALLOWED IT TO BECOME A COUNTRY. OH AND DO NOT FORGET SELF DETERMINATION IS PART OF UN CHARTER. IF THE RUSSIANS IN CRIMEA WHO ARE THE MAJORITY WANT INDEPENDENCE OR TO BE PART OF RUSSIA, IT IS THEIR RIGHT. :P

  4. jaluck Agreements are not set in stone, ok, That is not the point, if Scotland which is seeking referendum on leaving UK is allowed. If Kosovo is a country. If Northern Ireland gained greater autonomy. Why is Crimea different, btw the agreements made by Ukraine, Russia, US in the 90's did not at ALL include the will of the local population. Majority will is being suppressed in Bahrain, Palestine, etc for the sake of the interests of the West. Mark my words if the Russians leave, you think the Russians will let the new government in Keiv to dictate their will? Ha I see another Balken like war brewing :) get out the popcorn everyone.

  6. jaluck Sheeple People are surrounded by other Sheeple people, and they pretend to know what is best for other people, even if those said people may have another will for their nation. I will always support liberation movements like the IRA, and Palestine. Self Determination of ones national culture is protected and will remain so.

No ethnic cleansing there right because Croatia was supported by the West.
