It's easy to make fun of these people in both photos, but the part you're ignoring and the more important takeaway is the failed political systems that provided the basis and momentum to these movements. If Afghan and US government were reflective of their people's will and we're busy serving their needs, neither would have such people marching through their capitals. Making fun is a superficial pass time and won't solve anything, but feed the divisions that prevent unity and any possibility of putting concentrated pressure on the politicians to do the right thing.
