Pathetic that a CS degree is had without learning this.

Doesnt process native libs yet? Also, to iterate is human, to recurse, divine.

16:07 how cute, she said "contagious block" instead of "contiguous block". Is that when your system gets a virus? lo..
2
Remember when Haskell was going to supplant everything? yeah...
2
Quit yer SIMPn

Whats an H100 cost these days, $20000 to $30000?
2
ITs an open source ISA, so wonks think it will dominate due to nobody having to pay licensing
2
Nope, no way to fix it because they lack updatable microcode layers. Vendor is issuing instructions on disabling vector extension.
2
virus riddles memory.

They found 2 other bugs of the "halt and catch fire" variety on a total of 5 different CPU's. This is due to rushed and/or flawed implementation of RISC-V and extensions by the vendors apparently. all from china. Since Qualcomm is fighting with ARM over licensing this was supposed to be a golden ticket for RISC-V, but some ball dropping seems to be in effect.

The best Log4j fix was to get rid of it and replace it with a logger that didnt have holes in it.
1
Java module system available since Java 9 is about the closest built-in versioning SBOM facilitator I have run across. It also offers security for reflection and service compliance features.
1
Guy up there ^ says its a transtesticle.
1
RiscV: none of it is cheaper, none of it is faster, none of it is more capable, none of it is more available, so whence the value add, anon?
1
@GSBarlev Show me one consumer board thats cheaper than what I can buy using ARM SoC ...forget the standard "but theyre all dev boards, bro"
1
Contagious block, the system got a virus!
1
Thank microsnot for decades of vulnerability.
1
Worst. language, ever.
1
Arent they like 15 or 20 grand?
1
Cant fathom the level of autism required
1
@ Nah, I looked it up, its $27500 on Amazon. Gaymers dont know high end cards lol.
1
MMU's are all on the processor now, but all the way up to the 68000, they were separate assemblies on the board.
1
A job converting PhP to python? I'd rather bob for turds in sulfuric acid.
1
Javas latest threading models provide at least half a dozen solutions to make this completely trivial.
1
@MartinWoad You must be one horrendously bad programmer.
1
@ Latest Java VM's give you 90%+ performance of compiled C++. If you are getting bad performance, you are a bad programmer. case closed. Look at the charts: Java consistently ranks #2 in performance, thats why big companies like Amazon still rely on it to scale.
1
Fun fact; all the new series of 50x NVidia cards use real time generated content to deliver insane frame rates. For every frame rendered they generate 3 intermediate inferred frames.
1
Gee, nice that you have access to a $30000 gpu, but how does a 6.6% speedup even in something like a cuBLASGEMM call translate to anything other than a minor gain? Am I missing something?
1
@ Answer is tarded. 100% of 6% is still 6%
1
@ I love it when self appointed intelligentsia do backflips to justify being clueless. Truly the race to the bottom has been won.
1
Are you aware that after all this time there are STILL only 2 algorithms for quantum that outperform classical? Grovers and Shors and that's IT. So why these predictions of it dooming all crypto?
1
@fluffysheap You dont need more brain cells, just an algorithm that can run them.
1
The grid code is littered with goto's! arrgh!
1
Are method signatures declared before the implementation still called "prototypes", or is that ye olde tyme lingo now?
1
So it sounds like there is no BLAS implementation for these vector extensions.
1
Oh look, someone is downloading and printing in the age of LLMs. How quaint.
1
Virtual mem management is only part of MMU duty. It also manages protected OS level pages and other protected memory space.

The system got a virus!

Before things like "security"
