I actually thought about this before, it is better to sent self learning and self reproducing robots to Mars first instead of sending humans who would be occupied 99% of the time with producing basic necessities like oxygem water, air pressure, shelter, food, water, etc. All such tasks are better delegated to robots working autonomously.
