  1. You'll need closed cycle agriculture to keep producing food to cirumvent the problems of droughts, esp. in large cities. And to keep farming on open fields in countries like the Sahel, you need to plant lots of trees - the African Great Green Wall project. And cheap ways for desalinating water like MemStill (membrane destillation) which uses excess heat from industry or power production or solar to create clean drinking water at a low prive (0.40 $/m3).

  2. Algea are for free, they only need sun and water (salty, brakish or fresh) to grow. Lots of places where there is lot of sunshine and land that isn't used (deserts). The potential exist for creating carbon neutral fuels from these algea and/or store them underground for carbon capturing. So we could replace fossil fuels like methane (natural gas), diesel and jet fuel with this.

  3. This technology should be used for lake Kivu, a high concentration CO2 lake, not only because the extraction of CO2 from the water would be easier then from the air, but also to protect the lake from erupting (estimated once every 1000 years) and cause many deads.
