The economics don't work out in favour of a vacuum tube maglev system. We already have maglev trains that can reach 600km/h and highspeed trains that can reach 350km/h so why do we need higher speed that comes with a large cost? Existing train techniques could already be usefull to replace intercontinental flights for a large part (ie. using sleeping trains, so you lose not much time traveling). Hyperloop comes with too much cost per person travel kilometer to ever be an alternative for normal trains of aviation. The benefit of higher speeds due to near vacuum most probably don't compensate for energy losses for maintaining the near vacuum and since tubes will shrink or expand due to temperature, there will be losses. The implosion of a vacuum tube is a high risk.
