  1. Russia does not use gas delivery for political reasons, it's the US that does that by blocking the Nordstream. Russia's gas deliveries have been consistent throughout all of the cold warm even during the Cuba missile crisis. Only Ukrain is a problem, because they did not pay for gasdeliveries and siphoned off russian gas meant for transit to Europe, that is why Russia in cooperation with Germany built the Nordstream pipelie to bypass the Ukrain.
