But for human kind in this stage of development (we are no longer hunter gatherers living nomadic live and can migrate to places where the climate allows for hunting/gathering) that is something different......

  4. I don't think that is true. In the long term climate the dominating force for climate change are the Milankovic cycles. One example: the Sahara was greener 8000 years ago and will turn green again every 12.000 years due to shifts in the orbit of earth around the sun. The sun itself is quite stable, apart from the solar minimum cycle every 11 years.

  5. In the long run, renewables could be cheaper then coal, and since australia has a large outback that is barren unused land, that would be an opportunity for australia to become independent of fossil fuels, and can become even an exporter of renewable energy, it can power South east asia.
