  1. Mars offers no opportunity for humans to live permanently due to the harsh conditions. Living conditions on Antarctica are comparitatively much better (earth gravity, atmosspheric pressure and water available), yet (outside of some scientific research stations) antarctica has been avoided by humanity for habitation. It's fruitless to bring people to Mars. We could better bring artificial intelligent robots to Mars to do all the work humans would have to do (creating infrastructure for energy, water, oxygen and food supplies), and only bring in people to Mars on temporary basis to do science excursions, without having to worry about enerhy, oxygen, water and food supplies. Good test bed environment for AI developers, to create autonomous artificial intelligent robots that can create human living conditions on Mars....

  2. And for what purpose exactly????? It is also theoretically possible to provide any human being with drinking water, food, shelter and health, which has a much more practical goal, but even on that we fail miserably.....
