  2. Large part of the polution can be attributed to goods that gets imported in the EU and US. So why don't western countries demand that their products are made in a more environementally friendlier way, even if the production costs would go up? Western countries are for a significant part responsible for this by outsourcing our industries to China, because the manufacturing price in China was cheaper as in the western countries. We keep our environments clean, but then we outsource our production to China and China gets polluted.... If we really wanted to do something about it we would produce them in the west under much stricter environemental regulations, but then the production costs would go up.

  3. China has 3x the population of the US and a comparable economy. Yet the US has more then 200 miltary bases all around the world and some secret ones too. But CHina is bad for protecting some islands in their waters in the biggest shipping lane in the world. Again why crititcal about China, which has almost no military presence around the world, while the US is present in all continents and almost all countries around the world, even illegal occupied land like in Syria. Double standard?

  4. Why these question about China entering the space age, why leave this development to the americans, they have every right to develop their abilities of space travel, same as India. The counter question is: why should the US monopolize space travel? And not only that the US is militarizing space at the moment. China has every right to develop their space program.

  5. The real problem is that the housing industry is based on private investments and the majority of chinese people belief that investing in housing is a safe investment. That is what created this bubble. They should have instead have a housing program under government control, social housing, building only the houses of the right type, size and at the right location that people actually want to live, based on the real needs of people and what they can afford to pay for rent or property. It would prevent buildings from staying empty/vacated and the loss of investment that comes with it. So the problem is that China uses free market investments in a capitalist model to provide for the basic needs of their people.
