Under the rule of Gadaffi, the Jamhirya state he established with the people in power through peoples congresses - Libya became a prosperous nation with free healtcare, education, housing a human right, and other social benefits. How bad is that? He also provided stability. The western leaders in all respects are fare worse, since they could have negotiated a peacefull transition instead of a violent overthrow that got Libya into the current mess. It must be clear that the whole operation on Libya was not about "protecting civlians" but that it has much to do with global (and pre-dominantly western) interests in the region. Possible also to sabaotage an african golden dinar plan to be set up. Western intervention is never for the reasons they pretend to serve (democracy, freedom), but always about global interests.

  3. US, UK and France are already involved and support the so-called "opposition" (for example, by bringing in arms from Croatia, etc.). I did not hear you mention the background of this war. This war is all about gaspipelines. The US, europe and Qatar want their own pipeline project through Syria, as opposed to a planned pipe line from Iran through Iraq and Syria. That is why there are so many militants from outside Syria fighting there, supported by the arab desptic monarchies.
