  1. There are SO MANY breeders who are convinced that they know what they are doing when they actually do not. My vet found it so depressing dealing with these people and the serious problems they ignorantly breed into these innocent animals that he discontinued working with any breeders whatsoever. Until there are no strays or homeless animals and until the shelters are empty, there is simply no reason to patronize breeders who contribute to pet overpopulation and cause a lifetime of suffering to helpless animals. ADOPT DON'T SHOP.

  2.  @babyroxasman  I agree. One of my neighbors is a backyard breeder; the guy is an alcoholic and a far cry from being a rocket scientist. He's bred all kinds; whatever is most profitable at the time and I shutter to think what inbred health problems those poor dogs will live with their entire lives. He sells them on FB. It's sad and disgusting. The clincher is that the local vet discounts his fees for this breeder but charges top rates to anyone wanting to get a stray spayed or neutered, IF he will even fit that animal into his schedule.
