  12. 15%, and the Kennedy campaign has cited five qualifying polls where he currently beats that number. In addition, RFK Jr currently has ballot access to enough electoral votes to win the election, whereas B and T currently have zero because neither is officially their party's nominee yet.

RFK Jr is not running as the candidate of the independent party; he is running as an independent candidate who has achieved ballot access in enough states to gather the number of electoral votes required to win the election . B and T, on the other hand, currently have access to zero electoral votes because neither is officially the nominee of their respective party. That means that RFK Jr actually is more qualified to participate in the debates than either of the other two.

  17. Debates are absolutely necessary for the voters to have an opportunity to make side by side comparisons of the candidates. These candidates are applying for the most important job in the world and should be expected to make an effort to actually compete on a level playing field, even if that only means a debate stage. It should be mandated as a requirement of running for the office of POTUS.

  20. Actually I am surprised the FEC made a fair decision, since the whole election process is so rigged. I'm glad, of course, but sort of waiting for the other shoe to drop because this seems a little to good to be true.
