Jay, I'd just like to interject for a moment. In that Tweet, what you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX...

Editing org documents in Vim? There are some boundaries that should never be crossed. :D

Actually, the default i3 motion keybindings are set to " j k l ; " which is just absolutely ridiculous. For vim users or those who have used other tilers, that is EXTREMELY frustrating. I hit L to go right and instead I go up? Why, i3 devs...why?! And so many people have complained about them shifting the motion keys back over one spot to the proper Vim keys, but they won't do it and say they will never do it because their keybindings make more sense. Not on the planet that I live on.

Can't wait for the updated video from Brodie six months from now: "So my file manager is Emacs, and my web browser is Emacs, and for my email client...Emacs...and my window manager is also Emacs, and my operating system..." :D

Installed emacs just to uninstall it. And then you called it "just a text editor." I'm pretty sure that you are no longer on Richard's Christmas card list. :D

Wow, that like-to-dislike ratio! I guess you've angered some people here by shining a spotlight on their scam. :D

"If they use KDE and you use GNOME, that's fine." Actually, I'm pretty sure that neither of those people are fine. :D

@BrodieRobertson Unfortunately, I don't think Org is ever going to be a real thing in Vim. Org is much more than a Emacs plugin. It's built into Emacs so people can make Emacs plugins just for Org. It would be great if the Vim or Neovim guys added native Org support to those editors (someone should submit a feature request!).

Don't sweat it, bro. There was nothing wrong with this video. Just make the content that you want to make, and don't worry too much about whether people will like a video or not, or else you will go crazy. And YouTube's algorithms will surprise you. This video might do poorly now, and in a couple of months will explode...with no rhyme nor reason. Ultimately, as long as you feel good about the video, that's all that matters.

@twb0109 I have used standard GNU Emacs. It was OK but it did cause me some pain in my hands about a month or so of using it. So I switched to the evil bindings for the sake of my hands. Stumpwm? Eh....no.

Wow. Love the new lighting.
