@Supercali506 a couple things. One, Harris has been the tie breaking vote on many bills in the Senate including the infrastructure bill and the inflation reduction act. Next, the VP consults with the president many times on decisions and policies because they are literally a heart beat away from becoming president themselves. And in many ways they are involved in foreign relations.

I couldn't care less about that. Harris can claim she will have a beer with you. I don't need that in a president. I need a president that cares about the success of the nation. My mom cares about me, she is in on way qualified to be president. I will never meet the president in person. As long as he leads our nation to success that is all I care about.

@DharmaBum1984 uh, the ink blotch amendment in the 9th amendment. The only amendment that was not the main amendment in any court case. That has been challenged. That amendment was referencing cases that were common at the time such as owning land, for example. Owning land was common at the time so it was considered a right. Abortion was not common at the time, so it is not considered a right. If we want to go down the route you are suggesting then speeding and murder are rights as well. And nowhere in the 14th amendment is privacy listed, period. "So a state can now decide what happens with a women’s body. There are no such laws that apply to men." That is not true. To start, at the federal level you have the draft. Next, look up Washington v. Glucksberg and how states can place limitations on what people do with their body there. Or the situation of vaccine mandates. Now you may say that covers all sexes, which is true. However, the point is that state can place limitations on what we can do with our bodies. Also, an issue is not the women's body but the baby inside as well.

The economy was stronger under Trump compared to Obama and Biden. It was also better for the middle and lower class under Trump. Case in point, according to the Atlanta Federal Reserve wage growth for the lower 1/4 of income earners in the US was around 2% under Obama, it was greater than 5% under Trump. You also tell me to look up BLS but don't say want specifically. Figures.

The bill was written and Obama said signing it would be one of the first things he will do as president. Why didn't? This is in line with Clinton said that Trump paid no taxes when Clinton was in Congress for years, why didn't they change the tax law?

In fact, if he would have done a federal lockdown and a federal mask mandate you guys would have thrown down your masks and gathered in large crowds in the streets calling him a fascist. You can't blame Trump for job lost when democrats kept the lockdowns going. In fact, on jobs, states that open up early like FL, GA and TX reached their pre-covid employment levels sooner compared to states like CA, NY, MI and MN which kept their lockdowns going. For example, FL reached their pre-covid nonfarm employment by Sept. of 2021. NY, it was around March of 2022. Now what about the great state of MN ran by VP candidate Walz? They reached their pre-covid employment numbers by April of 2023, one of the slowest states to have their jobs recovered. These stats are available on FRED. And that leads to another point. When states like FL, GA and TX opened up early and saw their economies recovered, you guys said they were causing more deaths. So what did you want? DId you want Trump to demand lockdowns to "save lives"? Well, bye bye jobs. Did you want Trump to demand to end lockdowns to save jobs? Well, you guys would have said he was promoting more deaths. To you no matter what he did you guys would have criticized him. The average age of death in those were was in the lower 20s, as in 21. The typical death in war were young, healthy men with the potential of life for decades. The typical person dying with covid was someone who was very old or very unhealthy, or both with high risk of death and thus a had a high chance of dying in a short time to begin with. So you can't compare. "The US economy does objectively better under Democratic leadership & the numbers prove it." Except you provided nothing. You say "look at BLS" but give no specifics. I say bring up recent history and in doing so you focus on the "pandemic" when it were democrats that kept pushing the lockdowns and that was saw in that their states had slowest recovery compared to states with republican governors with Minnesota having one of the slowest recovery. So you have to look at a very unique situation to try to prove your point. It shows you have nothing. But again, you are comparing deaths of young, healthy men in war to deaths of a disease where those deaths were of older, much less healthier people. Bad comparison.

@beapower7045 according to Lancaster University the average age of death in WWII was 27 with 19 being the age of the most common death. According to a University of Minnesota article, around 87% of covid deaths were 65 and older. Yep, real comparable in comparing deaths via war vs deaths via a disease.

So congrats, you destroyed the economy, ruined kids' education, forced businesses to close down where many shut down forever, ruined people psychologically just so people who were going to die anyways still died.

@beapower7045 but again, Fauci in February of 2020 admitted covid was not that dangerous. We had the petri dish in the cruise ship. Using the numbers of the cruise the Grand Princess cruise ship saw 7 deaths, all over the age of 60. You may say that is bad, but deaths of elderly on cruise ship is more common than you think. Read the paper titled "Passenger mortalities aboard cruise ships" It happens often. It is funny how I am the one that keeps giving data and sources and you give nothing. All you say is "Trump lied and gave misinformation". What is funny is that I am getting all of this without listening to Trump. On covid I looked at the data as opposed to not listening to Trump. I listened to Fauci who made his comment early on saying covid was not that dangerous.

After Roe got overturned people are finding out that 2 years later there has been no significant changes in abortion in this nation. In fact, after Roe being overturned the number of abortions increased an reached over 1 million in 2023 for the first time since 2012.

The lower class saw low wage growth according to the Atlanta Federal Reserve under Obama where under Trump it was higher. Under Obama homeownership rate was dropping, under Trump it grew. As for the "pandemic", please tell me how could he have handled it differently? I always ask this and never get an answer. @katiekatz_7594 Trump did not overturn it, the supreme court did. All that did was give the powers to the states which is where it belongs. After Roe got overturned abortions went up, fun fact. If you read the Constitution the constitutional route to take is to leave abortion up to the states.

Because that has been their approach all along. Don't solve problems so they always have something to run off of. They complain how the rich don't pay taxes but they never did tax reform to get them to. They claim abortion is under threat but never passed a federal abortion law making it legal. If these issues do not exist they have nothing to run off of. Look at gay marriage, the moment it became law of the land via SC ruling both sides stop talking about it. Now the issue is trans.

@DharmaBum1984 Griswold v CT wasn't. I will give you Troxel v Granville. Now what was that court case on? Visitation right? The right to see your kid. That was common when the Constitution was written. Having your kids and seeing them was common, thus it is covered in the 9th amendment. Abortion was not common at that time. Just like how slavery was common at that time so people had the right to own slaves. What ended that was a Constitutional amendment. As for privacy, it is more complex than you are presenting. There are points where you don't have privacy, one is when you leave your home and interact in public. You can be recorded on public cameras and investigated that way. States can set DUI check points. Also, if you are suspected of murder you can be investigated based on the laws set by the state. Same applies for abortion if state sets certain laws. So the right to privacy is a lot more blurry and the SC sides more with me as it is not a set right as in many cases you can be investigated.
