I don't care if you are gay, straight, lesbian, a man or a woman, etc. In this case, if my apartment complex is on fire I am not going to stop the firefighter trying to put it out, or rescue me and ask "well, are you a lesbian, are you a woman". No, I am going to hope they are the best at doing their job. Instead you leftists are like "they are a lesbian, hire them" regardless of their qualifications. I mean, you guys picked Harris to be VP because she was a woman of color. See how well that worked out for you in the 2024 election?

  4.  @OldManYellsAtClouds  that is how hiring works in many ways. That is why we see unqualified people getting hired. Again, I don't care if you are a lesbian, if you can do the job then great, that is all I care about. Again, if my apartment complex is on fire and a firefighter is coming to save me I am not going to stop them and start asking if they are a lesbian. My main concern is if they can do their job, period.

The university felt the pool of candidates was not diverse enough so they demanded the department interview people who were black, women, etc. even though the most qualified were all Asian. The university wanted a diversity quota where the department wanted the best candidate. You are seeing this here. Heck, remember Biden said he needed to pick a woman of color to be VP regardless of qualification. You guys created this

  10.  @Duendito  you can do better land management. You also have the issue of this could have been started by a power line, so cut back trees. This could have been started by a homeless person, so solve that problem. Also, why are fire hydrates running out of water? Fact is CA is poorly ran. Glad now the rich celebrities are now seeing it. Maybe they will vote for someone who is competent.

  12. I don't know the requirement but in reality what you are saying should be the case. The simple fact is that some jobs are meant more for men and some are meant more for women. That is basic biology. With firefighters it is geared more towards men. LA fire department was more concerned about meeting a diversity quota as opposed to hiring the best for the job.
