@OneTheBlue we can. It will be hard because her and I had different goals in life.
I obtained a PhD in physical chemistry and an MBA. Before that I received two degrees, one in physics and one in biology. After my doctorate I work in industry for a scientific company and make over 6 figures. I work as a scientist. My manager I can work my way up to sales or management positions and I said no, I like being a scientist. While I would get paid more I get paid enough as is and I have flexibility to do other things like get involved in my community.
You may say her resume is superior but again, I had different goals. I had zero desire to study law, to get into politics, to get into the Senate, to become the president. Just like I assume Harris had zero desire to study science, go to grad school, earn a PhD doing novel work in the field of science and go through the publication and peer reviewed process. Write a dissertation and defend it. And then apply for a job and settle down in that position.
So like I said, it is hard to compare, really impossible. Do you think Harris understands science more than me? Especially the field of spectroscopy which I work in? I doubt it. How about we compare a truck driver to Harris. If that truck driver enjoys living on the road, seeing places, driving a truck then fine, he had different goals in life. Does Harris know how to drive an 18 speed on a 15 mile 8% grade in the rain? I doubt it. I would not be surprise if she does not even know how to drive a clutch.
Your comment shows why so many hate Harris and supported Trump. It is the elitism attitude that Harris is better than us. Trump actually interacted with the everyday people and cared for them. Harris does not. And your comment is not good.
But answer this, based on my resume, do you think Harris is better to me and I should just bow down to her because we picked different paths in life?

@OneTheBlue that is not the point. You see, there are many people with a similar resume as me. A PhD with research experience. However, a part of my job is to train customers, give presentations, talk to customers at the booths at conferences. I have to speak to them in a way they understand the science. And not just that, but how it is related to their field.
I have a colleague who has a PhD, more experience in industry, but has the same role as me for the past couple of years. They are not doing well as their communication skills are terrible. If you compare their resume to mine you may say they are more qualified as they have more years in industry. But their experience was not high in customer interface.
So there is more to it than having a resume. That is why you have job interviews, yearly performances, etc. And even at that, if someone cannot do the job they get let go.
So you look at Harris' resume and you may say "she is qualified". Well, here is my counter argument. She was bad at the debates. As VP when asked serious questions that she could not answer she laughs which is not appropriate. She has radical policies and gives poor speeches. This is the interview process.
Also, to add on the resume, she has zero leadership experience. She was a DA and then a senator. That was a similar path to Obama, an adjunct night professor and a one term senator. No leadership experience like Bill Clinton had. Bill Clinton was a great president, second best in my lifetime behind Trump. He was governor of Arkansas, leadership experience. Working with others that will disagree with you. Getting outside of your comfort zone. Harris has none of that. That is why she got destroyed in the debate, she was outside of her comfort zone which was CA politics and she failed. Just like Obama was outside of his comfort zone and failed.
Compare that to my colleague and myself. He has more industry experience, but lack interaction with people in general. One part I did not tell you is that I am a sports official, have been for 16 years. As such I have to speak to coaches, players, game admin, other officials. An example I have to explain the rules in a way they understand. I can say "well coach, per rule 7-3-10 an ineligible player is downfield.......". I say "coach, number 74 was 4 yards down field on that pass". Same with science, in explaining spectroscopy I can't say "you apply the transition dipole operator to the eigenvector.....", I say "in uv-vis you have electrons that are excited to an excited state."
You see the difference? Now with Harris she was never challenged. So when challenged she laughs at awkward moments when an important issue is discussed. There is a video of her in Poland when a question about refugees was asked. She looked awkwardly, could not get an answer and gave her annoying laugh. Wow, I see how she feels about refugees, she never even thought about it. No wonder our border is a mess.
