  2. To start, this is all going to get overturned. Next, this will be an exception as the whole thing was a political stunt and it needs to happen to keep international relations going.

  3. Worse that will happen is that he will be sentence to 4 years but it will be after he is done as president. The judge knows this will get overturned on an appeal, so this is all just for show where a partisan judge will say "I wanted him to go to prison, but couldn't since he was the incoming president, and then an appeal overturned it". That is how this is going to play out. All political theater off of the taxpayers' dime. Hope those with TDS are happy about this.
