The point is that the only way to punish a president is via impeachment. If Biden ordered to take out Trump Congress will impeach and remove Biden.

This is going to trial. The point of doing the immunity route is that if he did a crime or not, he should be immune. If he is immune then the trial is off. If not he delays the trial to where it does not happen in March but instead occurs in June, at the earliest.

It is a good strategy legally. If he is granted immunity the case is done. If not he would have delayed the case long enough where it won't start until June at the earliest where the primaries are over. It is outsmarting Jack Smith.

@kevinberry9033 Trump has been outsmarting a lot of the elites. That is why they fear him so much. They think they got him and then he outsmarts them. Just like they never thought he will win in 2016 and they took him for granted.

The argument is this, he is going to trial regardless. So what he is being convicted of Trump is arguing he is immune from. He is not saying he did it but instead saying that if he did it or not, he is immune. Now if he wins the immunity case he is off the hook. If not it goes to the US supreme court. Even if he loses that it delays the trial to June, at the earliest in which the primaries are basically over which basically ends the number one reason for the trial to begin with......to beat Trump in the election.
