On climate change there is a reason why the left cannot get a scientist to speak on their behalf because the scientists do not support the fear mongering. Myles Allen was asked to speak at an event where people were saying the IPCC report says we have 12 years to act. Allen, one of the authors of that report, refused because the message they were sending was wrong. Climate change is something to look at, but the fear mongering need to stop. On immigration it is a mess. Liberal cities are not seeing it and are complaining. 25 states are sending their national guard to TX to protect the border. The defense budget, in terms of percent of GDP has been dropping for decades. You bring up critical thinking, after covid it was clear the left does not critically think. They just obey the elites without question.

I live in TX. I do not experience any of that. I moved from a blue area of the nation and there I saw people who were very rude and ignorant. Glad I got away and live in a more conservative part of the nation with people who are polite and intelligent. In grad school there was a professor in my department that signed an email talking about racism on campus. I said straight up that on a given Saturday, due to one of my hobbies, I interact with more black people then he does all year. Now in TX I interact with more black people in a given day then they do all year. I am a football official and on my crew of 7 only two of us are white. My last game last season was between two mostly black schools where I was the minority in the stadium. I am not racists. I bet I interact with more people of color on a given day then you do all year. You want to know how I treat them? Like anyone else. As for science, I have a PhD in physical chemistry. I know science very well, way more than you which is why I did not fall for the covid BS. I knew that shutting down gyms but keeping liquor stores open was not good for people's health.
