@glenchapman3899 because fighting in court would cost even more money. That is why many typically settle out of court. Neither side has a strong case so it will get dragged on for months, or even years and cost a lot more money. So you cut your losses and move on.

@glenchapman3899 because it is true. The case would have dragged on for months, at least with the cost of numerous lawyers. Also, you have the issue of the optics of it going on in the face of the public. Fox News just wanted to settle it and move on, not waste money and time. Just look how long these Trump trials are taking.

@glenchapman3899 you are comparing apples and oranges here in company revenue. Fox is a much larger company and has shareholders to cater to. An ongoing legal battle would harm the value of their shares. So settling out of court is the best way. This is very common. Dominion agreed because if they did not then yes, Fox News could have dragged it on bankrupting them in the process. It was mutual.

@glenchapman3899 lawyers are not that expensive. And again, as I said, you have the issue of shareholders with Fox News. Shareholders won't like spending a lot of money on a pointless case when they can cash out early at a much cheaper rate. Fox News can play bully and bankrupt dominion, but as a result they would have been spending a lot of money and the value of their shares would have dropped. Dominion and Fox News are funding in completely different ways, you really can't compare.

@johnrussell-bk7lv my god, never said you were a fan of Biden. What I am saying is that Biden has been saying many lies similar to the example your brought up. Lies such as saying his uncle was eaten by cannibals, saying he was a truck driver, saying he went to black churches, saying he spoken to the man who created insulin, etc. Here you are ripping on Noem when are current president is doing what Noem did but much worse. That is the issue of this channel, and why it is so divisive. Pakman and people here are ripping on Noem when Biden has been doing the same thing but much worse. Can you at least admit that?
