@EamonKelly republicans are not obsessed with her. Football fans are annoyed. They want to watch football, not her. Politics has nothing to do with it.

@dark14life TX is in the top 10 in the world's economy. CA is only 5th because they have the largest population in the US where the US has the world's largest economy. That has nothing to do with CA at that point. Along with that, TX has its own brand of beer, bottle water, and grocery store. It has its own grid where CA has PG&E that starts forest fires and never apologizes for it. Fact is CA is a mess. There is a reason why people are leaving the state.

It is not conservatives, football fans are annoyed by her. It is the same as Jessica Simpson when she was dating Romo in the past. We turn on the TV to watch the game, not Swift or Romo. Only difference with Swift and Romo is that people generally hate the Cowboys. But the point still stands. People want to watch football, not Swift.

It goes beyond that. On Jan 6th no one was armed with any guns. It lasted a few hours where most were peaceful. And after they left Congress gathered and confirmed the votes. Nothing has happened since. That is not an insurrection. That was a few people releasing anger for a few hours and then leaving. It also shows a contradiction. The left has been saying for years our guns can never overthrow the government. But a few people with flag pole and someone dressed up in a vikings suit being escorted by police can?

The real issue is that people want to see football, not Swift. They don't care about her, they want to see the game. This is similar to Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo in the past. People got sick of her.

No one feels threaten by her. They are just annoyed of her. I don't turn on a football game to see her.
