Why are you blaming Trump on this? Do you know why so many, like me, support Trump? It is because we are sick of the elites only caring about themselves and not everyday people like me. Trump mainly ran on this: He has been around the elites for decades and understand they do not care about us but only themselves. Watch him in debates and town halls, he brings that up. He was criticized by Clinton for not paying taxes and his response was that she was in the Senate for years, why didn't she change the law so he had to pay? Well, because that would mean her rich buddies, and herself would pay. This is why we are seeing the elites break the rules and do actions that you really only see in communist nations such as take political opponents off of ballots and try to arrest them. With this, and after covid BS, I can see a war happening. I am just curious what is going to be the sequel to the covid BS because I feel it is going to be a lot worse.

There is not legal standing to remove Trump from any ballot. Gavin Newsom, who despite being corrupt scum, even said that we should not remove Trump from the ballots. He is saying that as he is smart enough to know any attempts will be overturned by the US supreme court and also any attempt makes Trump stronger.

Trump; was trying to work with Russia and NATO to bring Russia in unity with the rest of the western world. It was working but Ukraine and Biden did not want it. When pressed on CNN of if Trump would support Ukraine Trump said he wants people to stop dying. Trump was working with Russia to bring up into peace with the western world. Biden comes in and is buddy with Ukraine and clearly causing the tension with Russia. " Your history literally teaches you that had the US not joined the Allies in WW2, we would all be speaking German. Had Germany not been forced to fight the US on the West and Russia on the East, Germany would have conquered the world. " Not true. Germany was never that big. They did not have the man power. Face it, you guys love war if your elites tell you to. Under Trump the world was a more peaceful place.

I do not choose sides. I remember months of riots in 2020 by BLM being cheered by the left and people calling it "mostly peaceful". Trump never once told people to get violent. He said to go peacefully. In 2017 a Bernie Sanders supporter shot republicans at a congressional baseball game. He felt that Trump and Co needed to be destroyed. In that I do not blame a single democrat politician as none of them said to get violent. I do not condone the violence that occurred, but no one had guns. The only person who died was one of the rioters. It lasted a few hours and people left. If that is an insurrection that is a very weak one. Also, you have never seen an actual insurrection. The Revolutionary War lasted how long? Same with the Civil War. A few people yelling and smashing windows is not an insurrection. And again, Trump told them to go peacefully.

@-norsecode- he was making a deal with them. Guess what? In Doha there was an escape plan to pull out of the deal if the Taliban did not hold up on their end. Also, Trump's plan was to take time and take around 14 months to pull out. Biden did not follow that plan. He did it too fast and led to a mess. Also, Trump was willing to fight back and back down from the deal if the Taliban did not cooperate. Chances are the Taliban would have under Trump where under Biden the Taliban see him as weak (like all world leaders do).

@ariaflame-au you see, both things can be true at the same time. I do not condone what happened at the Capitol with the violence. However, Trump did not tell them to get violent. He told them to go peacefully. Also, democrat supporters have reacted in violence as well. However, I would not call it an insurrection. Nor do I blame the politicians in they are not telling people to get violent. You need to get away from team politics.

That was one of many terrible foreign policies that Biden has. He looks weak to our foreign enemies which is why none of them take him seriously and why there are two new wars and China is looking to start a war with Taiwan. In fact, if Biden wins in 2024 I feel China will invade Taiwan.

He told them to go peacefully. This is why no one has been charged with an insurrection to begin with, including Trump. "Currently the question that is going to the supreme court is wether or not Trump has absolute immunity. Nowhere is being questioned whether he participated in insurrection or not. Thats not the question going to the supreme court because Colorado already established that he did. " 100% not true. Trump was never charged. He was not given a trial with a plea, jury selection, questioning, witnesses, etc. Thus, on legal grounds, Trump has not participated in an insurrection. Justice Samour wrote "President Trump was not offered the opportunity to request a jury of his peers; experts opined about some of the facts surrounding the January 6 incident and theorized about the law" So yes, it is the question on if Trump participated in an insurrection. In fact, that case on Trump that he did is so weak, and really not there, which is why no one has charged him and tried to take him to court on it because it will fail. "Notice how Trumps lawyers are not using as a defense that he did not participate in insurrection for the most part? Their argument is that he has “absolute presidential immunity”." No, the lawyers did make the argument that Trump did not participate in an insurrection. One of the arguments against Trump is that he said "fight". One of Trump's lawyers played videos of Biden, Harris and Waters using "violent rhetoric" while grilling Peter Simi. So if one is going to say Trump promoted violence and an insurrection, so did Biden, Harris and Waters. And again, Trump told them to go peacefully. "Therefore, he did participate in insurrection against the United States when he gave aid and comfort to those that rioted the capitol in the middle of the vote to certify the election. " How did he give aid and comfort? Also, how was Jan 6th an insurrection? No guns. No one died except one rioter. In a few hours they left. That is not an insurrection. "He lost 60 cases where he challenged the election results and he still decided to go against the courts." What is your point? You can't challenge things in court? "We have hundreds of hours of testimony from people in his own inner circle and his staff testifying under oath that Trump knew what he was doing" They are questionable which is why, once again, there are zero charges on Trump saying he participated in an insurrection. Two big problems with them. One, a lot of them were along the lies of "well, Bob told me that he heard from Jill that Trump; did this". No direct witnesses. Next, none of those witnesses were crossed examine nor had to answer questions from Trump's defense team in court during a trial.

Maxine Waters was outside the court house at night, after curfew, where the Derek Chauvin trial was happening where she said "“We got to stay on the street. And we’ve got to get more active, we’ve got to get more confrontational. We’ve got to make sure that they know that we mean business" Is that promoting violence? Or how about when Ted Wheeler was with protestors saying he supports them and they, almost immediately, try to burn down a federal courthouse. Ted never tried to stopped them. In fact, he said he supported them. He was supporting the attempts to burn down a government building. Or when Jenny Durkan called the take over of a police precinct a "summer of love". She was doing nothing to stop the take over of a government building and a local police force. There are so many examples of such rhetoric from the left. In fact, I will call it worse as two of the above examples there was actual actions while those leaders stood by to to do nothing. Trump tweeted for people to remain peaceful. And Trump could not send help as that would be overreach of the executive branch on the legislative branch.

@mikeyf7039 here is what is so funny. You guys call Trump a dictator. In 2020 and early 2021 there were many times Trump could have done federal overreach but did not. He wanted the riots in 2020 to stop but governors and mayors refused help. When Jan 6th was happening Trump could not just send in troops as doing so would be the executive branch overpower and threatening the legislative branch which can be deemed as an actual insurrection. Not having random people at a speech that Trump has never met in person nor have control over show up with no guns and smash a few windows.

Sure, maybe in some middle of the nowhere TX there are some working at some off the road motel. But as a whole most who do work those lower skilled/low wage jobs are here legally and documented. Here Biden is getting removed and people like Pakman and his fans cry foul, but then support Trump getting removed when he has not been charged with anything nor convicted. If Trump has been charged with inciting an insurrection and was convicted via the legal process, then yes, I say remove him. But he has not. So the standard is we can just make the claim Biden participated in an insurrection and remove him as that is currently the standard. That should not be the standard but that is the standard the left created.

@lorisalim4598 charges, sure. But we do not punish the innocent. You are innocent until proven guilty via a trial. That did not happen. There was no trial in CO. There was no plea, there was no hearing, there was no jury selection, no calls of witnesses, etc. Also, of all the indictments on Trump, none of them involve him inciting an insurrection.

There were 3 dissenting opinions in CO where they were saying there should be a trial and a conviction. If you want to go down the route of not needing a conviction then you are setting the precedent where someone can say a certain politician participated in an insurrection and remove them to the point both sides do it to the degree no one is on the ballot. This is why we have a checks and balance system. Also, read section 14.5. Why are you ignoring that?

One is survival probability as a function of age via the Social Security office. The other was death rate as a function of age. If you graph those two stats along with covid deaths as a function of age and you get an exponential curve for each one where the older one is the more likely they were going to die. Another stat, according to the CDC 81% who died were over the age of 65 where the death rate of those over 65 is 97 times higher than those in the age of 18-29. According to Statista the death rate of those 15 to 34 is 139 pre 100,000. Those 65 and older is over 23,000 per 100,000. A 165 times different. Now I agree, two different sources so not the best side by side comparison, but fact is that older people have a high risk of dying to begin with and they were the ones who were mainly dying.

Because of the covid restrictions and lockdowns we saw a spike a mental illness, a spike in diabetes and a spike in alcohol and drug abuse. You strip people of their lives and force them to stay home that leads to bad results. Gyms were closed and people could not properly work out and stay healthy. People were stripped of their lives but liquor stores were left open. Don't you think it were situations like that that also led to an increase in deaths? I heard "follow the science" when science is complex. There is more than one variable at play here. If covid was so dangerous why didn't states like GA and FL see very high death rates when they opened up early?

@chefdsal1 Trump told people to go peacefully. Telling people to protest peacefully is not illegal. If you read what the state supreme court wrote they were really unsure with the tone of the US supreme court is going to make the final decision anyways.

@chefdsal1 ok, several things here. To start, lying is not illegal. Next, he told people to go peacefully. You point to the "fight' portion of the quote when politicians on both sides use the word "fight". Saying fight does not mean get violent. When a school's fight song is played does that mean the student body starts a fight? Trump's defense attorney showed a video of democrats using the word "fight" during the impeachment defense. Also, during the time they were at the capitol Trump tweeted two times for people to be peaceful. What more do you want him to do?

@avishevin3353 so he committed no crimes. Also, the CO chief justice in his dissenting opinion says the same thing. Trump has not been found guilty of anything thus you cannot say he incited an insurrection.
