@Alxotaku Trump's corporate tax cut was to bring it down to the level other western nations were at. He also did not cut taxes for the 1%. He did, however, wanted to make the tax cuts for the middle and lower class permanent which requires 60 votes in the senate. Every democrat in the senate voted against it.

@Brozius2512 no he won't.

@jeremyusry6705 you can't just give a raw number on the debt. If you look at the deficit as percent of GDP under Trump it was under 5% with the exception of during covid where the entire economy was shut down because of the democrat governors. Compare that to Obama where under his first three years it was over 5% and under Biden it has been over 5% as well. Obama and Biden both had the deficit rising at a faster rate. Under Trump the economy was strong. The lockdowns ruined it but that was not Trump's fault. We should have opened back up come May of 2020 and Trump wanted to open back up, but he knew he had not authority to force it. Biden coming in and enforcing restrictions along with spending a lot of money did not help. For example, his infrastructure bill placed barriers on non union competitors to submit bids and favored "green" alternatives. When you remove competition prices go up. When you favor certain options, prices go up, especially when you run into the issue of Proterra that went bankrupt. Inflation is only going down to a degree because of high interest rates. However, homeownership rate is suffering because of it where it went up under Trump (after a 12 year decline prior to him).

@KingJT80 so price gouging was not happening under Trump? When Biden became president all corporations rallied together to raise prices?
1
@mikecantreed 100% correct.
1
@KingJT80 under Trump wages were rising at the highest rate since 2008 according to the Atlanta Federal Reserve and inflation was down.

@diegoharo7943 it is over now. Maybe if we tap into our own resources we won't have high inflation. The wars that started under Biden did not help.

@zcorpalpha2462 "Trump has been out of office for almost 4 years Nuff said" True, 100%. But these people have such major TDS and will blindly listen to what the liberal elites tell them they will always play the "but Trump" card. Trump is easily a top 10 president of all time. He was a threat to the global elites, especially the liberal elites here in the US. As a result they ridiculed him, lied about him, attacked him. Their followers on the left blindly believed the liberal elites without question. I always ask this, tell me when has Trump ever ridiculed and criticized a Biden voter that was an average American? Never. Biden did it to Trump supporters. Clinton did it to Trump supporters calling them deplorables. Trump ridicules the elites. Trump is for the people, the elites are for division.

@MrCanucklehead75 what lies?

@KingJT80 there is more to the economy than GDP growth. Afghanistan has one of the highest GDP growth in the world, do you consider them to be an economic powerhouse? Inflation was low under Trump. As for the working class and unions, since 1983 there were only two times union membership went up, in 2006 and in 2019 according to FRED stats.

@finerbiner deficit spending was around 5% of GDP. Under Obama it was over 5% his first three years and has been over 5% under Biden. Around 4% of deficit in comparison of GDP is the norm. "If the super rich had all their income subject to the same taxation as a plumber or a teacher SS and Med would be completely solvent. " There is zero to back that up.

@KingJT80 funny, I see no facts.

Care to name that study?
