@neilshackleton89 you are missing the point. They already bought the booze. And who cares? Oh no, you are taking booze off of the shelf. It isn't like people will stop buying it in the US. Isn't like it is a major exporter for the US. Canada depends on the US, they are going to lose this trade war.

@neilshackleton89 alcohol is nowhere near our biggest exporter. The US and Canada has similar alcohol consumption. The US will just stop drinking canadian whiskey.

@hasbun88 people did not think he would do the tariffs, so he did. When he did auto companies reached out to him to work something out. So he now paused them. Auto companies know he is for real and thus will work on bringing manufacturing back to the US.

@WanderingKakapo as Canada has no tech industry. They are essentially screwed. Their main export is petro which the US has their own. Also, it is hard to trade the petro overseas to Europe.

Canada has little resources overall. They rely on other nations, especially the US. They may try to rely on Europe but there is a big body of water to shop across which is more expensive compared to trading with the US. Trump is flexing his muscle and he will win.
