  8.  @danielpupo7013  the economy was, at best, stagnant under Obama. You say growth, there is more to the economy than that. Comparing Obama to Trump. From 2004 to 2016 homeownership rate dropped 6%, it great 5% under Trump. Labor participation rate was dropping under Obama, it grew under Trump. These are according to FRED stats BTW. Interest rates were low under Trump despite increases in employment. According to the Atlanta Federal Reserve wage growth under Obama was 2%, it was over 3% under Trump. But a key stat there was that under Obama wage growth for the lower quartile income earner it was less than 2%, under Trump it was over 4%. So the lower class saw their wages grow at a much higher rate under Trump. As for covid, how could have Trump handled it differently? He wanted the economy to be open but you guys freaked out saying that was going to lead to deaths. So what did you want? An open economy allowing it to grow but more deaths? Or less deaths (supposedly) from shutting down the economy and protecting people from the virus? It was a no win situation here for Trump. Trump could have pushed a federal lockdown and a federal mask mandate and you guys would have thrown down your masks and gathered in large crowds calling him a fascist. No matter what he did, no matter the results you guys would have ridiculed Trump. But if you want to talk about post covid, you can't give Biden credit for that. Look at total nonfarm employment by states. States that opened up early like FL, GA and TX reached their pre-covid employment numbers faster compared to states that pushed the lockdowns like NY, CA, MI and MN. In fact, MN did not reach their pre-covid employment numbers until this year where FL, GA and TX reached them in the summer of 2021. Who is governor of MN? There were no new jobs under Biden, they were jobs that came back when states opened up their economies. In fact, two years in a row the job report had to be redone as they overstated the "new jobs" where the recent one overstated it by nearly a million.
