You are misrepresenting the data here. Around 70% want abortion to be legal, that does not mean they supported Roe v Wade. My stance on abortion is rare, safe and legal. I also completely supported overturning Roe v Wade because nothing in the Constitution made abortion a right. It is a state issue.

@JMUDoc that is normal across the board in many medical procedures for both genders. Either the states does not have the resources or their laws don't allow certain medical procedures. Also, please learn the design of this nation and how that design is best for this nation. With laws there are a subjective and objective side to it. On the subjective side to it people have different opinions for various reasons. You solve that by making government as local as possible and you do that via state laws. Some people view abortion as murder. Or they view abortion should be restricted to some degree. You may disagree, but in some parts of the nation they do agree. And as thus those people in those states set those laws as they agree. Same with other laws in our nation. There are other factors as well in state rights that we can discuss (which I feel you need an education on). But that is one. Not everyone feels the same way you do about abortion.

@JMUDoc what makes us a US is that so many people of different cultures and beliefs can live here.

@stevenseul361 uh what? The 13th amendment literally bans slavery. It is in the Constitution. There are ways to amend the Constitution, and that is what happened. If you want abortion to be a right then create an amendment to do so. There is a process listed in the Constitution.

@RealBradMiller it is not a right. People view abortion to be murder which is a legit argument. So it goes beyond healthcare. How about this, say I need a kidney or a heart transplant, do I have the right for my health to kill you and take yours? We are talking about the same thing here. Or should we force more people to donate their organs?

@Merble actually they do. You see it in assisted suicide laws and vaccine mandates. Roe v Wade only covered privacy laws (which is also not a right), but never body autonomy. In overturning Roe Washington v Glucksberg was cited. Learn constitutional law bud.

@Merble do you support vaccine mandates?

To start, that is not the job of the journalist. The onus is on you to find the truth. Next, the media has been suppressing information for years calling it "misinformation" when it wasn't. Also, all politicians lie. Welcome to politics.

@Savalatte the "fact checking" on Trump has been incredibly bias. The NPR fact checking recently is asinine. I looked at the top 10 and can easily debunk all of them. One on the list was Trump saying Harris is not smart. They called that a lie. How are opinions lies? Also, Trump is correct, Harris is not too smart when it comes to public speaking. But again, he has his opinion, that is not a lie. Also, politicians lie all the time. Biden, Harris and Walz all lie. Why don't you call them out?

How do you enforce that? Many justices ruled against what their so call party wanted.

No one cares about the overturning of Roe. It has been around 2 years now and access to abortion has not changed for those who want it.
