Funny, I listened to people on the right about this pick and they were all excited over it. They were scared she would pick Shapiro. The moment she picked Walz people on the right were very excited due to how bad he is.

What Ben Shapiro's video titled "BREAKING: Kamala Picks WALZ For VP" He is excited for the pick.
1
They are not scared. All the people on the right that I heard did an analysis on this are excited. Walz is a terrible candidate. They were scared of Shapiro, they are excited for Walz as he is such an easy candidate to attack. He will not gain the votes of moderates.

A few things. One, that is not true. Denmark's prime minister has debunked that when Bernie Sanders was running on the same issue. Next, the nations you mentioned are small. We have 30 states with a larger population than Norway. We are much more diverse. You can't really compared the US to those nation as we have many different cultures. I lived in three different parts of the nation; the midwest, the west, and now in the south. I see it first hand. So you saying it "works" in those nations does not mean it will work in the US with how large and diverse we are.
1
It is. Outside of states like Vermont and Minnesota, northern states with very low diversity, people do not support radical socialism. It is why Bernie lost twice.
1
So you support fascism I see.
1
What actual policies do dems have? Spend money we don't have and keep inflation and interest rates high? Fund more endless wars?
1
@jasoncowley4718 yeah, like when he did a hotline for those that violated the covid protocols.
1
@beejls he is actually the norm bud. Get out of your bubble.
1
I think Pakman does it for views. More of what are his fans on.
1
Actually they are celebrating. You picked a radical from a very blue state with a horrible record as governor. That is not going to gain votes from independents.
1
@DylanBowlin-zc2ln funny you bring up education. Your boy Walz shut down schools and then later held an overcrowded memorial for Floyd, a drug addicted felon while kids could not attend schools and get a proper education.
1
They are because the people do not support radical socialism. You take a look at socialist candidates they come from northern states with low diversity because very few want to live there. Walz in MN, Bernie in Vermont. You are not going to convince moderates in states like PA, MI, WI, AZ, NV and GA to vote for a radical socialist. What is also bad is that Walz has an extreme view on illegal immigration. His views, along with Harris's poor record a the border is losing them AZ and NV. People on the right were scared of Shapiro, they are loving this pick. Walz has such a bad record it is not going to go well.
1
@schw0373 I am a moderate. Walz is a radical leftist. That may work in a state like Minnesota that has very low diversity and has not vote for a republican president since 1956, but outside of that it won't. You middle class working man in states like MI and WI are not going to support radical socialism. They work too hard for their money.
1
@schw0373 to start, he said being a socialist just means being a good neighbor. Gee, I did not know government forcing me to give up money to programs I do not support means I am a good neighbor. When the state of MN had a surplus, which is common in states, he was supposed to give that money back to the people of MN. Instead he spent it on more government programs. His free school lunch program cost way more than projected because that is what always happens in socialism, programs cost more because government overlook many factors, or there is corruption. In the case of the free lunch program there is both. And you may say "he fed kid". Overspending on government programs leads to inflation. So great, they get food in school, but not at home as their parents can't afford it. He increased taxes on the board and despite having on of the lowest population growth in the nation he had one of the highest inflation rates. And that is just scratching the surface. He Bernie Sanders with a Fargo accent. He will not gain the votes of blue collar workers.
1
It can. Swing voters do not want radical democrats like Walz. Right now Harris has peaked. Depending how the DNC goes she may peak a little bit higher, but that is it. The moment interviews and debates start swing voters will run away from Harris and Walz as they are extremists. They can't describe their policies when pressed.
1
No one on the right is scared of Walz. They are now waiting for actual interviews and debates. Interviews and debates where Harris will fall flat on her face and Walz has to defend his radical ideas and terrible record as governor. Independents in swing states do not support socialism. It is why Harris got destroyed in 2019 and why Bernie lost in two primaries in a row.
1
@rc7625 he did not serve our country. When it was his time to be deployed it bailed on the troops he was supposed to lead. He mooched off of the government dime in the military and when his time of duty came he bailed. Typical socialist, taking tax dollars while producing nothing. As for feeding children, several issues there. One, he shut down schools in 2020 and 2021. Two, the program cost way more than projected due to corruption on all levels. Three, many schools have free lunch programs that work fine. Why didn't he copy them? Also, those things are not even the worst things he did. His state was ground zero for the BLM riots where he did nothing for days.
1
@kahlilboi he tweeted out for people to leave, all he could do. Also, you are going to bring up a two hour incident that after that nothing else happened, to days of riots where private businesses were burnt down. Not a valid comparison.
1
@matthewgoetter3127 no, they see Walz as a radical that will not attract the votes of independents. Just like how Bernie lost, twice. Or how Harris lost in 2019. Moderates do not support radical socialism. Also, it goes beyond that. Walz has a terrible track record. Bailing out on his troops, he record on the BLM riots and covid. It is terrible. You bring up feeding its citizens. Gee, you know what will help that? Higher wages and low inflation like we had under Trump. So go ahead and bring that up. Under Trump people could afford groceries. Walz's free lunch program in schools cost more money than projected. You say we aren't going back? So you just want to continue down the route of high inflation, more expensive groceries, low paying jobs, etc. How can you feed the citizens when they cannot afford food? And as shown by Walz's free lunch program, neither could the MN government.
1
@kahlilboi " are you serious? 4 capitol police officers committed suicide?" Totally unrelated to that event. Those who commit suicide have many long term issues they are battling. It takes a lot more than one event to lead to suicide.
1
Walz is very easy to hate. 1. He bailed on his troops he was expected to lead when they were being deployed to Iraq and he later lied about his military service 2. He created a hotline for people to rat out each other violating covid restrictions. Walz is the type of person who would have ratted out the Jews to the Nazis 3. He violated his own covid restrictions holding an overcrowded memorial for George Floyd, a drug addict felon while law abiding business owners could not operate their businesses 4. He let BLM riots go on for days refusing to call the national guard calling them 19 year olds who are cooks 5. He shut down schools and businesses and bragged about The list goes on. He is only liked in one of the bluest states in the union. A republican has not won MN since 1956. The more moderates learn about him the less support he will get from them.
1
Yeah, because putting tampons in boys bathrooms, bailing out on troops you are supposed to lead, bragging about a DUI, giving a memorial to a drug addicted felon while forcing businesses to remain closed sure is normal decent.
1
Also, calling Trump weird does nothing. People have made up their opinion on Trump and MAGA at this point. Go ahead, call them weird. It shows you have no actual policies.
1
@Andrea-re9np not triggered, just speaking the truth. Seriously, do you think calling Trump and MAGA voters weird will do anything? You called them every name under the sun. You called them racists, nazis, a threat to democracy, etc. But oh now calling them weird is now the time you persuade people to vote against them. That is the one. People made up their opinion about Trump's personality. At this point it comes down to policies where Harris and Walz have none. That is why Harris has done zero interviews since becoming the presidential pick.
1
@Andrea-re9np "what are your thoughts on Trump making up nasty nick names for people just because they don't support him?" Well, when he does it to the elites I like it. Tell me, when has Trump ever ridiculed Clinton and Biden voters as a whole? Never. Clinton called Trump voters deplorables. Biden called them a threat to democracy. A reason why Trump gained support is that you have elites like Clinton, Biden, Romney and Obama ridiculing voters who don't vote for them. Trump ridiculed the elites. So answer this, what are your thoughts on the elites ridiculing voters who don't vote for them? Biden said I am a threat to democracy. Clinton called me a deplorable. I make just over $100,000 a year where I am paying off two loans and live in a one bedroom apartment. What actual power do I have? Do you fine that to be OK?
