It never says run for office. It says you cannot hold office. Also, when has Trump been convicted of committing an insurrection?

The consequences is impeachment. That is the point. The idea is to give the president flexibility to get things done, but Congress can impeach the president. If a president were to send in seal team 6 like that they are a direct threat to many states and Congress will remove them.

@trevorsole3933 the charges on Trump was on Jan 6th. He was impeached for that and it did not go through. So the argument is that he saw the potential punishment as president and it fell through. Thus he has immunity. The whole point is that the president has some level of flexibility to do their job and the punishment on them is impeachment.

@trevorsole3933 he was impeached for Jan 6th and there was not 67 votes in the senate. So based on the process in punishing the president Trump did nothing wrong when it comes to Jan 6th. That is the point. There is a way to punish a president. That is impeachment.

This is going to the supreme court. That is the goal all along for all of these federal cases to go to the supreme court. If the SC rule in favor of Trump across the board democrats will use that as an excuse to stack the courts which will completely destroy our nation.

@trufflesrheaven people are seeing the corruption and how terrible democrats are at leading this nation. Take the Fani Willis situation. Even if Trump is guilty in that case, it is a terrible look for her to hire her lover who has never done a felony case in his life to do that one. Or the immigration issue. People are seeing how awful Biden is at handling the border. Or how the economy is bad. The list goes on. Democrats cannot run on their record, they are running on "But Trump". There is a strong chance that won't work this year. Moral is low in this nation. People are not as energized because Biden is that bad. He recently said he spoken to the ex-president of France at the G7 summit in 2021 who died in 1996. People are seeing more and more. Under Trump you had the drama, but at least we had money and we were not on the brink of WWIII.

It is a tactic to delay the case. These court cases were pushed to all take place during the election to try to beat Trump. So Trump is delaying them. Also, there is the chance he is granted immunity. But if not then the case is delayed until after the election.
