This attitude of America to refugees is hilarious! Following the Fall of Saigon in 1975 the UK government - well known for its democratic rule in Hong Kong - told Hong Kong to take in Vietnamese Boat People (VBP). This was no doubt under pressure from the US. Hundreds of thousands were accommodated and paid for by the Hong Kong taxpayers. The UNHCR claimed that they were going to pay for the "refugees", so they made policy. In late '80s there was another wave of Vietnamese Boat People, many from North Vietnam who were criminals. Hong Kong grew tired and placed them all in Detention Centers, where families lived together. The West was outraged. The West was equally outraged when Hong Kong started pointing out that some of the VBP were not genuine refugees but economic migrants - sound familiar? There were many criminals amongst the "refugees" in the influx from 1989 onwards. Western politicians and media castigated Hong Kong, ably supported by one English language newspaper in Hong Kong, which basically became a propaganda arm of the UNHCR and other "refugee" NGOs. A costly screening process was implemented. Any who were found to be genuine refugees were resettled overseas. Any who were found not to be refugees were repatriated to Vietnam. There was also a program to basically bribe "refugees" to return to Vietnam; some of whom returned and then returned back to Hong Kong for more money. Resettlement countries, especially the US, refused to take any VBP from North Vietnam. There were riots and destruction in the Detention Centres, supported by Western countries. At the end of it all the UNHCR did a runner owing Hong Kong billions. Any Vietnamese who could not be returned to Vietnam or be resettled overseas, usually due to their inflicting crime on the population of Hong Kong were simply left in Hong Kong. It was all very easy for the US to pontificate about the Vietnamese illegal immigrants in Hong Kong, what with the problem being thousands of miles away. So, US, karma for all the "refugees" you are having to deal with now.

All Chinese from China should leave the EU, UK, Australia, Canada & US as soon as possible. They should disinvest from all EU, UK, Australia, Canada & US businesses and withdraw from EU, UK, Australia, Canada & US educational institutions. All trade between EU, UK, Australia, Canada & US and China, including Hong Kong, should be reviewed as to the advisability of continuing. China should concentrate investment in countries that do not see it as an enemy. Tourists from China should visit countries that are friendly towards China and spend their money in those countries. Countries that The West has treated like vassals for centuries but are now aware that there is someone else to whom they can turn.

We were assured since day one of this conflict that Russia simply cannot win. The politicians, media and their experts detailed how Ukraine was winning, how the next offensive would end Russia. And we were confidently told that the next weapons system supplied to Ukraine, along with another few billion dollars, would be the "game changer". The bought-and-paid-for āmilitary expertsā who once pontificated loud and long and, invariably, wrong have moved on. We were also told that Ukraine was fighting for democracy and human rights, after the country had suspended elections, banned opposition political parties and media and detained Orthodox priests. And all that about the Canadian Parliament giving a standing ovation to a WW2 N@zi was all just an unfortunate misunderstanding, of course. Lindsay Graham said the quiet part out loud (12 June 24). US ā NATO is in Ukraine to extract the mineral resources of that country. In 2021 the IMF gave a loan to Ukraine. One of the conditions for that loan was foreigners being allowed to buy land in the country; previously this had been denied. Now foreign, mostly US, corporations, are buying up land in Ukraine. They have bought and now control more land than Russia has taken during its special military operation. Is it possible that the US and Western Military-Politician-Think Tank-Finance-Intelligence-Security-Media-Reconstruction Industrial Complex has been less than honest with us? Surely not. Boris Johnson hosted members of the Neo-N@zi ā12th Special Purpose Battalion, āAzovā to the British Parliament. One hopes that they gave him a "My Mother is Ukraine and Bandera is My Father" patch to wear.
