  1. Yes I agree, but self sufficiency doesn't mean growing our own bananas. We can produce enough to feed ourselves with what we can grow in the British climate. The problem we have is a growing population which is 90% accounted for by immigration. The native British ourselves are in equilibrium, but our overlords are in thrall to the "line go up" philosophy of perpetual growth.

  2. Same for every farm in the world. Since they keep you from starving I'd say they are entitled to be greedy.
