  1. I wonder how much the sales of used cars are up? I'm willing to bet it's a much bigger number than any of the above. For one thing, manufacturers have scaled back some of the luxuries in new vehicles because of the electronics shortage - cars that are 3 or 4 years old will still have them.

  2. Actually no. Used car sales are up hugely (as are the prices) as people start to "make do and mend" with their vehicles instead of feeding the PCP treadmill. And people aren't stupid. They know full well that driving an EV car only really means they are outsourcing the pollution to somewhere on the other side of the world.
