Yes, for some reason they are a fashionable and attractive pet for thick people. Which is a shame because a lot of good owners love them as well.

@Jack-fs2im At least in Ukraine the abandoned pets can be a walking pantry of sorts for hungry people. All the men have been given guns so hunting dogs should b quite easy.
