@liamcoghlan5408 You're sparring with the wrong guy, Son. The whole issue of "illegal" is a red herring if truth be told. They all claim asylum when they arrive of course - and then are put in intake units where they are distributed to accommodation. It then takes 6 months to make an asylum decision. During this time they are obviously paid by the government, since none of us want these people to starve, regardless if we think they should be in our country or not. Very few are ever deported of course. So yes, quite obviously all immigrants (illegal or otherwise) are given handouts until such time as they can claim citizenship - which is five years after arriving.
