  1. This is why we have an arbitrary age of consent law. As far as mother nature is concerned, the age of consent would be about 11 or 12. But to live in a modern society this would not be a viable way forward. So we are conditioned, for good reason, to have strong moral disgust about this kind of stuff. And actually, the age of consent law is set where it is to protect the most vulnerable among us, so it may seem unnecessarily strict for a minority of young people who are mature beyond their years - but that's the social contract we all must abide by.

  2. I agree we should reassess the age of consent. It's got nothing to do with Russell Brand but I thought this for a long time. The lefties are very much pushing to reduce the age of consent, so I will always be diametrically opposed to it.
