  1. This figure of only 500 farms affected is all over the internet in discussions because people have heard the BBC "investigation". It's total BS. I'm the sone of a farmer, this is going to hit us hard and we are a typical farm. There are tens of thousands of farms just like us. You have to be a tiny (almost a hobby) farm to be below this threshold.

  2. The stupid thing is that the less farms they claim will be affected, the less economic benefit you'd think there'd be. 500 farms paying let's say 1 million quid... That's half a billion quid and when you compare that to the amount of money the government spaffs up the wall rolling out the red carpet for illegal invaders or sending to Ukraine to help hasten World War 3 to our doorstep, it is just perverse economics.
