Also, it's no simple matter for the authorities to deny you access to the cash you have stored in a tin under the bathroom floorboard. Yeah, I know where you keep it Stephen. Whereas with a digital currency (which we essentially have already) the bank need only check a box and all of a sudden you can't buy sugary food, or meat, or fuel.

  3. Currency was created for a reason. The average peasant can't be expected to carry a sack full of gold to market to buy wheat or building materials. Sadly, the moment it was created, the ultimate result was inevitable.
