  2. My gramp too. Navy. He was so proud of his memories in service. He died about 10 years ago when the world still had a veneer of sanity. Imagine to have sacrificed so much and to have seen the destruction and carnage of war up close, only to die an old man in tears at what your children and grandchildren have done with the freedom you bought them. It makes me sick how we literally piss on the graves of these heroes.

  4. There is a reason that people like this are called the "Greatest Generation". Their gallant and selfless actions laid the ground for an era of unprecedented abundance, security and comfort for the western world. But it made us weak. It made us forget what it was to strive; forget how precious and miraculous our age truly is. We forgot the hardship that has been a fundamental truth of human existence for a quarter million years. As it stands today, as a whole we are corrupt5, narcissistic and entitled. The problems we all face, not only war and the end of plentiful food supply, but the insanity of hyper liberal society... it could all have ben predicted because it has happened to many civilizations before us.

  8. My Grandad served in the British Navy during WW2. He spoke of it with such pride and those 4 or 5 years service were the defining time of his entire life. The self serving managerial elites supposedly running our country (and I'm sorry to use such language in the same comment as my old gramp's memory) are literally pissing on his grave and the graves of the many people who sacrificed everything for what they thought was freedom. I hate them with the fire of a thousand suns.
