  5. Yeah I'm lucky enough to live in the rural midlands shires of the UK. It's literally Hobbiton up here, it's where Tolkien grew up. I work in London occasionally and it's just shocking. There are hardly any Brits left there, you'd be forgiven for thinking you were in Baghdad.

  7. If for nothing else right now, I'm quite proud of my nation at least for recognising the situation back in 2016 and voting to get out of the EU. We knew something stank but didn't quite understand how to deal with it. We have a much clearer idea now. And Trump's recent actions have been an inspiration for us here in the UK.

An atom bomb can level a city, but in a generally SANE world it will be used extremely rarely. On the other hand, social media can slowly and insipidly turn the entire world INSANE.

  25. Yes me too! I'm even threatened with that again this year. I had the booster just before last Christmas and felt medically violated. I'm a separated dad so I was also threatened with my kids access being removed. This year I've told everyone I'll literally spend Christmas alone rather than take it. I've got friends who have invited me over who reject this bullshit.

  34. The thing about Boris is, despite what a plum he is, he is acutely aware of public sentiment and has a Trump-like desire to be popular. We had all the restrictions for sure, but they weren't enforced by law to anywhere near the extent that we saw our former colonies going through and we came out of them earlier.
