Let me ask Allison what country are you in. My family have a farm in the UK and I've had similar thoughts. We have food sufficiency for quite a while, years even if the shit hit the fan tomorrow. But I look over the horizon and see a town where 50,000 people live. I bet virtually none of them have more than a few days food storage. And we have 500 acres of land where we raise livestock and grow cereal. That's a lot to defend. What you describe is all well and good but it would likely take years or decades to create a sustainable system like that. And in order for most people to engage at all with it we will first need to suffer actual real hardships and shortages over a sustained period. Perhaps it's inevitable... I just hope it happens slowly so we have a chance to adapt.

It's either they accept slavery or they know the terrifying enormity of it and are in denial or just can't stand thinking about it let alone discussing it. I meet many people like this.
21
I think I love campfires even more after that description.

We have the pleasure here in the UK of knowing that every single new house built is accounted for by immigration.
13
Fantastic. Your leaders and mine. Your president, my prime minister.... THEY DID THIS.
12
It's time we took that fear and pointed it back at them.

This lad knows what he's talking about 😏

@marcusp5345 The literal idea of Sodom and Gomorrah.

The people who are demonised and censored are almost always correct.

My friend the wise thing is not to stand up and shout I WILL NOT COMPLY. Better to quietly disengage and make plans for the inevitable collapse so you might rise from the ashes afterwards. Seek the basket weavers.
6
IIRC in the UK our excess deaths are about +10%, which is still significant.

I feel so lucky that I work for myself in a trade and I love my job. I don't expect my job is immune forever against automation but it seems like what I do will be one of the last things to go. So many people don't get the job satisfaction that I do.

Yes it's absolute bullshit and this is one proposal that I think may well bite them on the arses. What percentage of Brits are self employed tradies who will essentially not be able to get to their clients addresses and do their jobs? I know plenty of them - I am one - and we are generally the kind of people who have no time for this crap.

@BjornAndreasBull-Hansen Bjorn I think he's being ironic, not attacking you.
3
Bjorn I first started watching your videos a few years ago when you were absolutely fuming because some moron at a conference called you a "plastic viking". How I pine for the days when that was the worst problem we had to talk about... :(
3
Yes this is about the size of it.
2
I'm more willing to believe that Bjorn is real than that any major studio would release a game with a tough survivalist white guy as the main character.

Fiddling while Rome burns.

Where's Madame Guillotine when you need her
2
We've all been radicalised just by staying in the same place.
2
It's hard to tell exactly. In the UK, we've got into a dire situation now so that people are waiting much much longer for medical care and this will account for some of it.
2
Oh but they hate this traditional masculine world of outdoorsmanship, because it's a world they have neither the inclination or the ability to invade.
1
Oh yes the big companies will pay. And they will receive a product in return... YOU.
1
I think these people are serious. Because we've got a whole new generation for whom a wild, open landscape with nothing but nature is a kind of fantasy world. They are incredulous that such a thing exists.

Most scientific literature worth a damn is written by white men. That's why they are doing their best to throw it out.
1
The middle classes are so easy to manipulate. They aspire to be the elites and they fear becoming the poor. They live with a constant neuroticism of appearances and pretence.

Nigeria's population replacement is going to COLLAPSE over the next 50 years - and end up where our should be...🙄
1
You mean communism?

@audreywynn5092 I think the system by now is a sinking ship, like the Titanic. You can shout your love from the bow of the Titanic if you like - it's still going down. Better to secure yourself a lifeboat before the normies snap out of their mainstream hypnosis and get the same idea. I hope you have prepared.

Any man would consider it an honour to sit around the campfire with you, even if nothing is said. Just breathing the woodsmoke and soaking in the peace and completeness of the natural environment.
1
Nah, they're just afraid of it. A competent, self sufficient man, even just one, is a threat their utopia because it demonstrates that there is another way.
1
That last 2 minutes was beautiful.

The whole problem is when we call the government "they". When in fact the government should be "us". The government ought to be no more than a tool in the hands of the people that we use to carry out the basics of running a society. The moment we start assigning the government t's own agency outside that of the people, start on the road to tyranny. Which is the majority of human history let's be honest.

I want to follow in the tradition of my English ancestors and become a luddite.
1
Bjorn... If you weren't being criticised by feminists it would be time to seriously reconsider your work.
1
It's about the right time when the normy attention span wanes... A couple of months. Now people are losing interest in Ukraine so voila...! Monkeypox. I just wonder how they will spin the "black people most effected" narrative given what they've called this disease...
