  1. The middle classes are so easy to manipulate. They aspire to be the elites and they fear becoming the poor. They live with a constant neuroticism of appearances and pretence.

  3. The whole problem is when we call the government "they". When in fact the government should be "us". The government ought to be no more than a tool in the hands of the people that we use to carry out the basics of running a society. The moment we start assigning the government t's own agency outside that of the people, start on the road to tyranny. Which is the majority of human history let's be honest.
