  1. As someone who is almost pathologically risk averse (I'm reluctant to even get on fairground rides), I can't imagine climbing into that thing and facing the prospect of going literally miles down under the sea. And the thought of taking my son with me too...

I'm afraid it comes down to personal responsibility - by everyone... even the 19 year old, who is after all more or less an adult here - although you can understand him being persuaded by his father. Just a frecking stupid thing to get involved in all around. I'm admittedly risk adverse, even avoiding fairground rides, so this sub for me would have had "NOPE" written all over it.

While these two adjectives have many similarities, they are not used interchangeably.

  14. I remember asking a keeper at Chester Zoo here in the UK about chimps and he said he'd rather have a gorilla as a pet because, while multiple times as string they were nowhere near as aggressive or unpredictable.
