  2. The white knight syndrome is something we're all susceptible to. This poor woman has had a truly awful life and a lot of men might think they can turn things around and be her guardian angel, but the truth is that very few of us would be up to the job or prepared for the challenges that came with it. She seems pretty smart, and not entirely unattractive, but there is a high risk she would steal and betray you and throw all your efforts back in your face, but in a way she can't help it because she never had the chance to develop normal functionality like most of us do. I mean hell... women with perfectly normal upbringings do this often enough.
