  1. I mean aside from the actual amount they are paid.... ANY amount they are paid is coming directly from the profit of the men's game, since that's where all the profit comes from. Women's soccer just isn't popular enough to make money for the associations that run it. So whether the women are being paid 0.5x or 10x as much, the fact is the male players pay their wages.
