  1. The government are in thrall to public opinion. Now the cast majority of us aren't interested in or influenced by covid scaremongering, neither are they. I'll be surprised if they ever update that website.

  2. The third reason is that they just don't care any more. Covid has outrun it's usefulness and it's obvious that most people are fed up with it all. There are much more effective emerging "crises" and narratives appearing on the horizon.
