I never came close to denying that the gov't and the police have used Covid19 to massively overreach their powers, up to and including this Orwellian crime bill. But don't make the mistake of thinking these protestors care about that, with their dreadlocks, blue hair and nose piercings. They are the exact same professional activists who derailed the Sarah Everard vigil last week and were pulling statues down a few months ago.

  13. @S R Well, evidence is usually called to be examined in court when there is adequate suspicion - as there was an avalanche of "weird stuff" in this case; more than enough to warrant a closer look. In this case, not one single claim was disproven because all of them were dismissed on technical or "standing" grounds. Nothing was legally refuted. Basically it was the courts sticking fingers in their ears and saying "la la la, we're not listening - now shut up and go away you bigot... you conspiracy theorist". As a result, great numbers of the population were (and remain) extremely unconvinced of the integrity of the election - irrespective whether there was fraud or not. It was imperative that this was addressed to try and salvage the confidence of the people in the government, but it was not.

He was sentenced on March 1st, so shall we reconvene here and review this comment on December 19th? At which point I am in no doubt whatsoever that he will also have benefited from this entirely impartial scheme 🙄

  32. The US is in a sticky spot. It's easy to compare you guys unfavourably with the gun crime here in the UK, but we got rid of ours generations ago. The US is a so far down this road I'm not sure you can ever reverse it without things getting a whole lot worse before they get better. How do you run a systemic gun amnesty for example without basically disarming lawful citizens and leaving the criminals to run amok?

Also didn't he broker a historic peace deal in the middle east that got the usual suspects ree-ing when he was nominated for a nobel peace prize for it?   43. A surge of infections, not deaths. All the vulnerable and elderly have been vaccinated. Younger people who are still unvaccinated have an astronomically low mortality rate. If you're suggesting we will have a surge in deaths that's anywhere close to the previous spikes, then what you're telling us is the vaccine doesn't work.
