  1. You realize that multiple shootings and deaths from gun crime happen every single day across America? You ask yourself why this particular one gets days and days of media attention? Shall we look up publicly available FBI stats and discuss the ethnicity, ideology and voting habits of EVERY gun offender this week?

  2. The US is in a sticky spot. It's easy to compare you guys unfavourably with the gun crime here in the UK, but we got rid of ours generations ago. The US is a so far down this road I'm not sure you can ever reverse it without things getting a whole lot worse before they get better. How do you run a systemic gun amnesty for example without basically disarming lawful citizens and leaving the criminals to run amok?
